Klemtu Address

I will in fact have a mailing address in Klemtu, for those of you who have been asking. My address is:
Ali Brown
General Delivery
Klemtu, BC V0T 1L0
FYI...those are zeroes, not the letter o.
Postage is $0.94, or two stamps, and mail takes approximately 3 weeks to arrive if it is a package. Cards have gotten here in less than a week, so feel free to send as often as you'd like.=) (I've already received 3 from Tonya Brown)

  2. Best of luck my dear! My prayers will be with you until you get back and head off to the burbs to attend Midwestern! You'll have to come into the city before you start school to visit and tell me of all your stories in Klemtu!

Oh, and watch out for the bears there! Yikes!! No/limited jogging, my friend! Seriously!!! Ask Steve about his adventures to Alaska! They will attack and looks like you are going to the heart of the grizzlies ("Bear Forest")! We will miss you and will be anxious to hear how it goes.
    Love ya, Bets

  3. It's beautiful to see the little girl I babysat and took out for ice cream and had in my wedding become such an amazing woman. I admire your strong faith, your huge heart, and your determination to make a difference. I will keep you in prayer and thought all summer and hope that maybe we can hit Dairy Queen (just you and I) when you return so I can hear all about it. Best wishes and stay safe! Love, Kenya

  5. I'm so proud of you, Ali!!! I should have given you Karen's bear bell ... she had a run in with one in the Smokies and she bought a bell to keep them away! Love, Rach

  6. I hope at this point you are safely in Vancouver or all the way to Klemtu. You are well prepared and have every quality it takes to make a difference in a new community. We are so very proud of our little Al...and also very sad we can't have wine and movie night for 10 weeks. Love ya, MB

  11. Hi Ali. Greetings from Carmel and from your running buddies. I had a great run & did 1:54, which is not so great on the surface but I wasn't sure I was up for the race at all. So maybe I won't retire after all :-)
I bumped into several runners who asked me "Hey, isn't Ali Brown in your running group?" I did my best to explain your mission to everyone who asked.
Looking forward to following your journey.
Much love and success from me & all your running buddies at Grace CC!

  12. Ali, I am so glad we can talk on the phone. Can't believe you have cell service there. I hope you get your computer set up today. Thanking God you arrived safely in Klemtu yesterday and your house is nice with your address "the Brown house". Missing you, Mama

  13. Ali, What a relief your internet is working! I have read every word of your blog and have tears in my eyes. So glad you like the "Brown house" and you are settled in with all your belongings. I told the Hungerfords they would know you at the airport as the bag lady. Can't wait to skype tonight and see you beautiful smiling face. I miss that each morning, although sometime when you got home from work, it wasn't always a smile.
Took your book back to Grace and am keeping up with your donation to the Grace food pantry.Love

  14. Congrats on a safe trip and setting up your new home. Sorry to hear the village dogs are making running difficult, but I knew it wouldn't take long for you to attract followers. We miss you already and are looking forward to our next Skype date.
FYI--Tony Hughes was one of the runners at the Mini who asked Chris P. where you were. Kenyans won again. 1:03 for the guy, 1:12 for the gal. Ridiculous.
    Love, Daddio

  15. Ali--Understand you're putting together a soccer camp for the kids. What do you need and when do you need it? Have already received a bag of Cobra uniforms from the Fabbros. We'll collect all the goodies and get them off to you.
Keep up the good work. Love, daddio
